Sparkling Elderflower Wine & Kombucha Workshop
Join us and learn to make the ancient artisanal drinks of Elderflower wine and Ratafia. Plus we teach you the secrets of successful Kombucha scoby production for great health. But we’ll start with some foraging fun in Ashton Park’s bountiful kitchen garden collecting citrus, botanicals and herbs.
A native British hedgerow plant, our Ashton Park Elderflower produces beautiful white blossoms that imbude a delicious floral aroma and flavour to anything they are used in. And of course perfect for the delicious sparkling elderflower wine you’ll be making.
Ratafia is a traditional Catalan (Southern Spain) liqueur dating back more than a thousand years but still also popular in France, Italy. This liqueur is made from tender walnuts mixed with various aromatic plants. It is also perfect with the beautiful lemon peel and bontanicals you’ll forage from the Ashton Park kitchen garden.
You’ll learn the technique for successful Kombucha-making and of course how great Komucha should taste.
You’ll find out what not to do which is as important as what to do – to ensure your Kombucha scoby works every time. And if you have any questions – Gillian is guaranteed to have the answer.
