Join us for this special portraiture workshop with portrait artist Sarah Chance.

Sarah studied at the Julian Ashton Art School and was awarded the John Olsen scholarship as well as other drawing prizes during the completion of her Diploma in Fine Arts. She has since built her own successful portraiture practice.

Sarah is an inspiring and experienced teacher and well known for her ability to make students feel confident and at ease. So whatever your skill level, this is a great opportunity to enjoy the process of extending your creative skills.

We will explore capturing likeness in portraiture using Classical Trois Crayon drawing technique.

Morning session

We will focus on
– shapes, drapery and turning points
– artistic anatomy of head, neck, shoulders, torso and hands
– facial features

Afternoon session

After lunch in The Barn, during the afternoon session we will make our own
self portrait to take home: head, neck, and shoulders.
