Citrus and Lemoncello workshop
Winter means citrus and loaded lemon trees. And for many it also conjurs up memories of Italian summers in a piazza, sipping icy Lemoncello.
But, if you’ve tried your hand at putting those flavours in a bottle, you’ll know it takes a bit of time and experience.
So, this Citrus and Lemoncello workshop is designed to teach you the process and most importantly – give you a shortcut to success.
My friend Gillian Kozicki and I have been exploring the possibilities of the more unusual citrus. And we’ll share that exploration of aroma, infusion, and unique flavours. For example, bergamot, chinotto, etrog, yuzu lime, native finger limes and cumquat.
You are invited to a day at Gillian’s beautiful Ourimbah/Central Coast orchard where you’ll learn about some of our more unusual citrus varieties. And of course try your hand at using some of her citrus straight from her tree.
During this workshop we will show you how to make
- Delicious Italian-style lemoncello
- Tangy, spicy Chinotto
- And other recipes featuring rarer varieties like bergamot
